Pearson Construction: Congratulations LMC on 75 Years!

We’d like to commend Lake Michigan College on reaching a major milestone – 75 Years Educating the Southwest Michigan community! To this day, crews from Pearson have worked on almost 200 separate projects at LMC, both big and small, and look forward to building on that partnership for many years to come. Congratulations LMC!

Pearson Construction: Boys and Girls Club

The third Saturday in September is recognized as “Boys & Girls Club Day” across the country, and we feel very fortunate to have an amazing local chapter of the Boys & Girls Club in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Pearson Construction served as General Contractor on the facility, that was constructed in 2013, and consists of a 28,000 square foot Youth Clubhouse and 19,000 square foot Teen Center. Come inside both facilities with us to see how this amazing complex is serving the youth of our area.

Pearson Construction: 9/11 Resiliency Plaza

At 201 E. Wall Street, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, there stands an important symbol of southwest Michigan’s commitment to “Never Forget.” Now, 20 years after the terrorist attacks of 9/11, resiliency plaza serves as a permanent reminder for generations, both new and old, of the day that changed our lives forever.

People gathered to celebrate the Grand Opening Event of Berrien Springs Public Schools New Sylvester Stadium. Pearson Construction was honored to be chosen as the construction company tasked with building this amazing facility from the ground up. We had the pleasure of working with CARMI Design Group on this project, and we were excited to join them, and the school district, in cutting the ribbon.

Pearson Construction was honored to be chosen to design and build a 14,000 square foot addition to the YMCA of Greater Michiana’s current facility in Niles. Our in-house architectural firm, TERA Architects, teamed up with our Pearson contracting crews to construct this manufacturing facility for Vail Rubber in 2020. Take a look at how we paired a pre-engineered metal building with exterior metal wall panels and interior metal liner panels to provide this southwest Michigan manufacturer with a facility fit for their specialized products.

Burt Pearson, Jr. Featured in Fall Edition of Krasl Art Center’s Fall 2020 Edition

He helped lay the building’s original footings in 1979, and today, Pearson Construction Company President, Burt Pearson Jr., is still helping shape the look of the Krasl Art Center in St. Joseph, Michigan. Burt Pearson, Sr. – 2019 Michigan Construction Hall of Fame Inductee

Burton H. Pearson Sr. was inducted into the Michigan Construction Hall of Fame in 2019. The Distinguished Constructor Award was established to formally recognize the significant achievements made by individuals to the Michigan construction industry. The selection committee identifies nominees who have provided major contributions to the industry and to their community based on the nominee’s involvement as a constructor with consistent service and professional achievement. We are proud of Burt’s many accomplishments, and appreciate the recognition, posthumously.
